The cruelest part is watching your face grow blurry while my heart still remembers you perfectly. Some days I struggle to remember the sound of your voice, and other days I realize your face isn't as clear in my mind as it used to be. Maybe that's why I keep revisiting our old messages. Not because I'm unable to let go, but because I'm scared of forgetting. Scared that one day I won't remember the little things about you. The way you talked. The way you laughed. The way you made me feel safe. So I scroll through our old conversations, hoping to find the pieces of you that time keeps trying to take away. Because even if the image of you grows blurrier day by day, I never want to forget the person I loved.
