Description
12th Infantry Regiment ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Established in 1806 in Kościan as the 12th Infantry Regiment. The soldiers were called up for service, thanks to the project of General Dąbrowski and approved by Napoleon in November of 1806. They distinguished themselves with a glorious combat record. They were present in the assault of Tczew and the siege of Gdańsk. They bravely fought near Frydland, Góra Kalwaria and Sandomierz. In 1812 they fought near Smolensk, Borodino, and Berezina. The end of the regiment's existence came in the memorable Battle of the Nations - in October 1813 in Leipzig, where the last companies of soldiers followed Prince Poniatowski to their end.
