House of Westeros Rulers of Sunspear ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ House MarteII is a noble great house that rules over the southern desert region known as Dorne. During the bleeding years, Lord Mors MarteII wed a Rhoynish queen known as Queen Nymeria. 10,000 Rhoynish soldiers led by her queen and new found king demanded fealty from each Dornish lord, those who resisted were crushed beneath MarteII heel. With a proud ancestry and heritage, the Martells have resisted occupation throughout the centuries, not even the Targaryen dragons could make them bend. Diplomatically however, the Martells, and their bannerman joined the rest of the six kingdoms. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The house lives by these words which forever signify their defiance to those who would seek to subdue them; "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken"
