Description
The Burma Air Force (Tatmadaw Lay) was the aerial branch of the Tatmadaw, responsible for air defense, close air support, and transport operations. Equipped with fighter aircraft, bombers, and transport planes, it played a key role in counterinsurgency, reconnaissance, and logistics. The air force provided crucial air support against insurgents and ensured rapid troop movement across Burma’s difficult terrain. Over time, it expanded to strengthen national defense and aerial capabilities.
