Tracing descent from the Satake Masayoshi, grandson of the prominent warrior Minamoto no Yoshimi tsu, the Satake clan resides within the Hitachi province, gaining possession over it for Yoshimi tsu's outstanding military service. The Satake are known for their vicious fighting styles.
