Description
In August 1808, a smaller troop was assigned to Härjedalen and the Norwegian border. The company was part of the so-called Northern Distribution, and had conducted coast guard and mailing service in the area of Sundsvall. A detachment with cornet Nandelstadt and 25 horsemen rode to Umeå, but was soon transferred to Nykarleby in Finland, where they attended the battles in Ostrobothnia at Alavo, Wirdvis and Vasa. In September they were transferred from the harbor to Sundsvall and returned to the company. Most of the company remained in the area of Sundsvall until November 22, when, apart from a few posts, it was placed on its homesteads. On April 9, 1809, the company received orders to go to Fors church in Ångermanland through marche forcée.
