Description
𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 — 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 “From the Salt and Rock, Emerges the Strength and Will of the Ironborn” ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Iron Islands are one of the constituent regions of the Seven Kingdoms of Westoria. An archipelago of islands varying in size, they lie roughly west of the Riverlands, northwest of the Westerlands, and south of the Winterlands. The isles were historically ruled by the Monarchs of Salt and Rock, who were later renamed the Monarchs of the Iron Isles shortly before Vaelon's Conquest. Though they are the smallest of the Seven Kingdoms of Westoria and have a considerably smaller population, the Iron Islands are home to groups of fierce seafaring people who call themselves the Ironborn. While some say the archipelago is named after the abundant iron ore on the islands, the Ironborn claim it is instead named after their own unyielding nature and unconquerable strength.
