Description
The Department of External Affairs (DEA) serves as the SCP Foundation’s diplomatic and public-facing arm. It handles external relations—negotiating alliances or deconflicting operations with other Foundations and Groups of Interest—while also overseeing public relations, media outreach, and image management. In many canons, the DEA plants disinformation to cover up anomalous activity, manages D‑Class recruitment, and conceals traces of Foundation operations within civilian zones. Structurally, it features diplomatic ranks from Intern up through Ambassador and Director, and frequently splits its mission into branches like Alliance and Hostile Committees to manage both friendly and adversarial relationships.
