Description

𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐈 𝐏𝐎𝐏𝐔𝐋𝐈 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐈 FRIENDS OF THE ROMANS The socii were the allied peoples and city-states of Rome during the Roman Republic. Although they were not granted Roman citizenship, the socii were bound to Rome through formal treaties, obligating them to provide troops and support in military campaigns. In return, they retained autonomy in local affairs, and they made up a significant bulk of Rome's fielded armies both on land and on sea as protectorates of Rome.

Growth

Growth history is still building. We hold one measurement for this entry. A trend needs at least two, taken days apart — so this will fill in on its own rather than being estimated. We do not publish numbers we have not measured.
