Description
The 𝟰𝟮𝟳 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗔𝘃𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗻 (𝟰𝟮𝟳 𝗦𝗢𝗔𝗦) provides specialized aviation support to Canada’s special operations forces. Operating modified rotary aircraft, the squadron conducts precision insertion, extraction, aerial fire support, and covert mobility. It enables CANSOFCOM units to reach, engage, and withdraw from high-risk environments with speed and precision. Mission areas include: • Special forces insertion/extraction • Low-visibility air mobility • Aerial close support • Night and all-weather operations
