𝐀𝐋𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐄! 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬 The 5th Division is responsible for the defense of northern Norway, including the strategically important areas around Narvik, Tromsø, and the border with Sweden and Finland. The division plays a critical role in the defense of Norway’s northern front. With its experienced leadership under General Fleischer, it is one of the few formations capable of mounting an organized resistance under harsh arctic conditions. The Norwegian fifth division is primarily equipped with Krag–Jørgensen M1894 rifles.
