𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙙𝙚 𝙡𝙖 𝙉𝙤𝙪𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚-𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ⚜†⚜ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ The New French Parliament is composed of two houses; the lower National Assembly (Assemblée nationale) and the upper Senate (Sénat), both of which meet in the Legislative Palace (Palais législatif) in Québec City. Formed in 1868 during the Confederation of New France, prior to the unification of the constituent nations of New France. Originally, the upper house was the Superior Council (Conseil supérieur), however, it was dissolved in 1874 upon orders of Louis-Philippe I in favor of the more democratic Senate. The National Assembly divides its seats proportionally to the popular vote in the provinces, while the Senate has one representative per province.
