𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐒 ───────────── Drawn from the poleis of Ialysos, Kameiros, and Lindos, the Linothorakes formed the citizen-army of the Rhodian Confederacy. Farmers, craftsmen, merchants, sailors, philosophers, and statesmen alike stood shoulder to shoulder within their ranks, united not by birth or station, but by their duty to Rhodes. Clad in the linen cuirass from which they took their name, the Linothorakes embodied the strength and resolve of the islanders. Though each man hailed from his own polis and upheld its traditions, all fought beneath the banner of the Confederacy, defending the liberties, prosperity, and unity of the Rhodian people. When called upon, they left behind their workshops, estates, and ships to take up spear and shield, standing as the first line of defense against any threat to the three poleis. In peace they were citizens; in war they became the shield of Rhodes itself. ─────────────
