𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐉𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐘 大日本帝国陸軍 As a central pillar of Japan’s military power, the Imperial Japanese Army focused on territorial expansion and control across East Asia. It spearheaded the invasion of China in 1937 and conducted major land campaigns throughout Manchuria, China, and Southeast Asia during World War II. The Army prioritized aggressive offensives and large-scale infantry operations, often operating in difficult terrain with limited resources. Over time, extended supply lines, sustained resistance, and increasing Allied pressure weakened its effectiveness, leading to gradual losses as the war progressed.
