𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐏 “𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐔” 第一戦車集団「拓 — Kwantung Army Formed as a mobile armored formation within the Kwantung Army, the 1st Armored Group “Taku” was tasked with providing rapid mechanized support for Japanese operations in Manchuria and North China. Emphasizing mobility and concentrated firepower, it served as a counter to Soviet armor and was intended to play a key role in any large-scale land engagement in the region. However, its operational capacity was limited by logistical constraints and the overwhelming Soviet offensive during the Manchurian Strategic Offensive Operation in 1945.
