𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 — 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝 “Winter is Coming, but Honour Endures Despite the Frost” ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ House Stearne of Winterhold is one of the Great Houses of Westoria and the principal noble house of the Winterlands. In the days of old, they ruled as the Monarchs of Winter, but since Vaelon's Conquest, they have ruled as the Lords of Winterhold. Their seat, Winterhold, is an ancient castle renowned for its impregnable defenses and garrisons. Despite the many pleas and requests from the other Great Houses of Westoria during the Great Rebellion, House Stearne was one of the few houses on the continent to rebel against House Valkorian and their rule over Westoria. The Winterlands has always been a difficult region to govern from the south in the Royal Capital, and therefore, House Stearne and its vassals were not affected by the many questionable laws and policies enacted by the Valkorian Dynasty.
