Description

The Internal Security Commission is the Imperium’s central authority for state security, counterintelligence, internal threat detection, and political-security enforcement. It protects Aurelia against espionage, infiltration, sabotage, subversion, disloyalty, and concealed threats arising within the state itself. Unlike the Justicar Commission, which judges according to law, the Internal Security Commission identifies threats before they mature into open crimes or institutional collapse. It conducts investigations, vetting, surveillance, intelligence review, and protective monitoring of sensitive personnel, offices, and operations. The Commission may investigate corruption, sedition, unauthorized disclosure, hostile penetration of Imperial institutions, and conduct that threatens the stability of the Crown or the functioning of the state. It also oversees security clearance matters, loyalty screening, and the protection of classified records and restricted government activity.
