Description

Following the widespread industrialization of California and the Cochella Valley and the incorporation of the City of Pomona in 1888, the people saw a need for a force to enforce local, county, state, and federal statutes and lay down the law. From there, the Mayor of Pomona created the Pomona Police Department to enforce such statutes. The Pomona Police Department still protects the city to this day. City budget only allows for the employment of 40 members. You must be a Resident of Pomona to apply.
