Description
The Scientific Department At Site-944 — Centauri Bastion, the Scientific Department is the spearhead of humanity’s first permanent research effort beyond the Solar System. Its mandate extends far beyond terrestrial science, focusing on the investigation of anomalous transmissions, artifacts, and ecosystems originating from the Alpha Centauri system and beyond. Researchers stationed at 944 work under extreme conditions: tidal-locked planets, alien radiation belts, and environments hostile to all known life. Their duties include decoding hostile memetic signals from the Deep Space Signal Interception Array (DSSIA), analyzing artifacts retrieved from Proxima b’s surface, and mapping the biology of entities that defy Earth-based classification systems. The Scientific Department of Site-944 does not merely study anomalies; it stands at the frontier of cosmic containment, ensuring that knowledge gathered on the edge of human reach becomes Earth’s first line of defense.
