Description
With the end of the Second Intermediate Period, the Eighteenth Dynasty came into power within the lands once again unified into a grand Egyptian Kingdom. This time the achievements of the Egyptians were not to be minor nor humble, as the New Kingdom resulted in a period of Egyptian hegemony over north eastern Africa, so much so that the Kingdom managed to control huge swaths of the Levant, whilst quarrelling with the armies of Hattusa in the north. Egypt's old ally, the Mitanni had been annihilated by the Hittite, Assyrian and Babylonian peoples. Egypt will surely want to avenge their destruction by combatting the ever-expanding bloodthirsty Hittites in the north by any means necessary. This includes domination of the Kingdom of Alashiya, though officially a Hittite client, the island has slipped into relative independence. This is a golden opportunity for Egypt to seize the center of copper trade and create one of the most prestigious and incredible empires the world has ever seen.
