Description
The Imperial Officer Academy is Aurelia’s central institution for the training, evaluation, and commissioning of officers for the Valdrik City Watch and the Imperial Aurelian Navy. Cadets receive a common foundation in Imperial law, leadership, discipline, administration, command responsibility, ethics, strategy, and joint operations. Through examinations, instruction, and practical command exercises, the Academy determines whether each candidate possesses the loyalty, judgment, and competence required to hold an Imperial commission. The Academy operates under Protectorate oversight but is not itself a Protectorate corps or an independent branch. Watch and Navy representatives assist with candidate selection, instruction, and placement, while specialized operational training remains the responsibility of the graduate’s receiving branch.
