Internal Security Department (ISD) The Internal Security Department of Site-944 — Centauri Bastion serves as the Foundation’s invisible safeguard within the fortress. While the Security Corps defends against external threats, the ISD ensures that danger does not emerge from within. ISD agents are responsible for rooting out espionage, sabotage, and infiltration attempts, particularly from hostile groups seeking access to extra-solar anomalies. They conduct background checks, monitor classified communications, and oversee the behaviour of Foundation personnel to identify compromised individuals or anomalous influence. Feared and respected, the ISD operates in the shadows — ensuring loyalty, enforcing compliance, and eliminating internal threats before they grow into existential risks. Their presence guarantees that Site-944 remains secure not only against what waits beyond the stars, but also against betrayal from within.
