Description
𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐀 𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐘 第十四方面軍 — Southern Expeditionary Army Group Originally formed as the 14th Army in 1941 under the Southern Expeditionary Army Group, the unit led operations during the initial campaign in the Philippines. In mid-1944, it was reorganized as the Fourteenth Area Army to oversee defense preparations in response to expected Allied landings. Throughout late 1944 and 1945, it conducted large-scale defensive operations in key regions such as Leyte and Luzon. Despite prolonged resistance, the unit was significantly weakened by the end of the war.
