Description
The Absaroka Department of Public Safety was established in June of 1975, following an amendment to the Public Safety Act, as a state-level public safety and law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services training and standards agency of the State of Absaroka. Following its establishment, all existing law enforcement training academies were consolidated under the department and reorganized as the Absaroka Law Enforcement Academy. Today, the Absaroka Department of Public Safety continues to serve as a state-level public safety and law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services training and standards agency of the State of Absaroka, responsible for overseeing emergency communications, law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services training, and administering and enforcing laws and regulations related to such throughout the State of Absaroka.
